According to Marielle, “New Life Tondo is not just about financial assistance, but also about the people who are willing to help you grow and the community that supports you.”
Another scholar, Jolo, is currently pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at the Technological University of the Philippines. His father is a tricycle driver, and his mother is a housewife. The scholarship program has given him hope and motivation to pursue his dreams. Jolo shared, “I am grateful for the help that New Life Tondo has given me. It gave me the opportunity to pursue my dreams and reach my potential. I will work hard to make sure that I can repay their kindness by giving back to my community.”
The New Life Tondo Scholarship Program has made a significant impact on the lives of its beneficiaries, and it is changing the narrative on poverty in Tondo.
